Manager (Director), Transmission Analysis


We are seeking a proven Transmission Manager (or Director) to perform analysis of electric transmission systems for the Company’s large-scale integrated solar + storage projects. The successful candidate will direct transmission and interconnection analysis and studies, and serve as the senior advisor to project teams and executive management.


Candidates who are currently Associates and have at least 3 years of hands-on transmission and interconnection experience are strongly encouraged to apply.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead transmission and substation analysis; actively provide guidance to project teams on interconnection pathways, congestion and capacity issues and alternative routes of intererconnection.

  • Actively foster and maintain relations with appropriate ISO/ITO and other such critical parties; lead the interconnection application process for all of the Company’s projects; coordinate scheduling of studies, technical calls and deposit requirements and refunds; lead relationship-management with our external transmission consultants.

  • Become an SME on market-based reliability mechanisms, including security-constrained economic dispatch (SCED) and contingency analysis; understand the impacts of grid-resiliency, cybersecurity and storage policies at the federal and market-level.

  • Evaluate medium and long-term market pricing (e.g. LMP pricing, electric transmission tariffs, etc.) and help to further advance the application of our LMP models and tools.

  • Represent the company at development meetings and keep abreast of IRPs, ESG statements of corporate offtakers, jurisdictional rulings, and other market-relevant documents; play an active role in augmenting our Market Analytics team.

  • Actively follow technical and economic trends that may impact the electricity markets.


This is a critical role where you will be applying the full spectrum of your numerical and qualitative skills. We seek a candidate with at least three (3) years of direct experience in the US electricity markets. Strong problem-solving skills and market based knowledge are required for this role.


Travel up to 25% will be required.  Remote work is optional.
